Sudhir Chaudhary of Zee News had no idea what he was in for when he tweeted his health update with a pic of himself from his hospital bed on social media. While his supporters wished him well, his critics took advantage of the opportunity to shame him over his poor coverage of the Tablighi Jamaat during the first wave of the pandemic last year.
This came after the controversial Zee News editor shared a selfie of himself from his hospital bed, where he's now having coronavirus treatment. “So many of you have been asking, it may not be feasible to react personally, so here's an update,” Sudhir wrote in his photo, looking concerned. I'm in the hospital on day 11 of my COVID infection, with early patches in my lungs, but I'm recuperating well thanks to doctors and medical caregivers.”
